-----------------------MINUTES ---------------------------
Mike LaBonte conducted the meeting.

Call for patent disclosure:

- No one declared a patent.

AR Review:

- Mike post 1.1at IQ spec
  - Done

New items:

Bob Ross will present Mike's IBIS Quality presentation at the DAC summit
- Mike: It would would have been good to announce the 1.1 release
  - But it is more important to get it right

Continued editorial review of the IQ 1.1 specification:
- Mike showed an email sent by Bob Ross:

1. Capitalization - IBISCHK as the generic term
- Bob: We need to require the latest version
- We added "sometimes referred to as the Golden Parser" to 2.1
- Bob: Terms like IBISCHK are used before they are defined
- Mike: We could have a table of definitions
  - Or forward reference like "(see 2.1)"
  - A table may take a while to complete
- We added a Definition of Terms section on the first page

2. email vs. e-mail. While I am used to e-mail, I think there is a shift to email
- We found none

3. consistently use typ/min/max (lower case) for corners.
- This is used several ways in the spec
- Mike: We could spell them out completely except the typ/min/max form.
  - The typ/min/max form is short for titles
- Bob: We could add to the definitions table

AR: Mike fix typ/min/max spelling for consistency

4. All ie, eg converted to i.e., e.g.,
- We fixed one
- Bob: Also a comma should follow

5. define NCSU
- We spelled it out

6. [POWER Clamp], [GND Clamp] - in spec, the upper case was used as a loose way to associate with the POWER and GND model entry for rails, even though they are technically case insensitive.

7. A few locations where 2 and 3 are used instead of two and three.

8. Each new sentence begins either with one space throughout or two spaces throughout.
- We decided to use the convention of having one space between sentences

AR: Mike fix IQ document to use one space between sentences

9. Perhaps some abbreviations and conventions explained because in many cases that is what is in the IBIS Spec
- We added a definition for Vcc

10. Equations are probably ok, but I would question in a word document whether to use the centered dot instead of the * for multiply. We can probably let that one go.
- Bob: Asterisk is a carry-over from Fortran
- We decided to stay with asterisks
- Mike: Should operators have spaces around them?
  - We decided to have no space

The summit is next Tuesday, so our next meeting will be August 4

Meeting ended at 12:15 PM Eastern Time.
